The CFII is one of the most valuable and respected instructor certificates. At PIC, you’ll train with experienced CFIs who have decades of IFR, commercial, and real-world teaching experience. Learn to teach instrument procedures, advanced decision-making, system management, and the precision needed for safe IFR flying. Add an instrument rating to your CFI certificate.

Learn to teach instrument flying using proven lesson structures and real-world IFR scenarios. Train with senior instructors who have deep IFR backgrounds, not time-building pilots. Master instrument teaching techniques that build safer, more confident IFR students.

  • 10 hours training flight time
  • 5 hours of AATD simulator time
  • 20 hours of personal ground lessons

    Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Read, speak, write, and understand English
  • Hold a current medical certificate (at least Third Class)
  • Pass a knowledge and practical test
  • Hold CFI airplane certificate

PIC delivers high-quality, efficient CFII training designed by instructors with decades of IFR experience. Every lesson is structured to maximize teaching skill and reduce unnecessary cost. The price is based on FAA minimums and can vary based on student proficiency. Please refer to the aircraft and instructor cost if additional time is needed. Price includes instructor, aircraft rental, and fuel surcharge, but does not include tax, equipment (headset), FAA written, and FAA exam fees.

Train with experienced IFR instructors, not entry-level time builders. Scenario-based CFII curriculum that mirrors real IFR instruction. Use simulator training to reduce costs and speed learning.

Price does not include $1,200 enrollment fee to enroll in both CFI & CFII (This can be split and paid upon starting each course)
